(Senior) Packaging Development Engineer (m/f/d)

As a Packaging Engineer (m/f/d) you will bring the latest packaging innovations to the market. You will work with various experts on the realization of flexible packaging (paper and plastic), digital and flexographic printing, coatings and much more. With your work, you accelerate the path towards more sustainable/circular packaging. 

As part of the Siegwerk Group, you will build on the stable foundation of a global player with 180 years of packaging expertise. At the same time, you will help shape the future of Packiro with your process knowledge and project experience.
Your Challenges
  • Independent management of packaging development projects and taking responsibility until market launch
  • You create and revise packaging specifications, conformity declarations, and technical drawings, as well as test and control parameters to ensure our product quality
  • You lead the validation of new products at production sites throughout Europe and prepare them for scaling
  • You support in conducting quality inspections and participate in designing internal workflows and processes
Your skills
  • You have experience in the development of plastic packaging, ideally flexible packaging in the packaging or consumer goods industry
  • You have experience in digital and flexo printing
  • You work in an organized manner and have knowledge in project management
  • Very good English skills are a must (C1), German skills are advantageous (B2 and above)
  • You are a self-motivated team player with a high degree of independence

Als Verpackungsingenieur (m/w/d) bringst du die neuesten Verpackungsinnovationen auf den Markt. Du arbeitest mit unterschiedlichen Expert:innen an der Realisierung von flexiblen Verpackungen (Papier und Plastik), Digital- und Flexodruck, Coatings uvm. Mit deiner Arbeit beschleunigst du den Weg hin zu nachhaltigerer / zirkulärer Verpackung. 

Dabei bauen wir als Teil der Siegwerk-Gruppe auf das stabile Fundament eines Global Players mit 200 Jahren Verpackungs-Know-how auf.
Your Challenges
  • Eigenständige Leitung von Verpackungsentwicklungsprojekten und die Übernahme der Verantwortung bis zur Markteinführung
  • Du erstellst und überarbeitest Verpackungsspezifikationen, Konformitätserklärungen und technische Zeichnungen, sowie Prüf- und Kontrollparameter zur Sicherstellung unserer Produktqualität
  • Du führst die Validierung neuer Produkte an den Produktionsstandorten in ganz Europa durch und machst sie für die Skalierung bereit
  • Du unterstützt bei der Durchführung von Qualitätsprüfungen
  • Mitwirkung bei der Gestaltung interner Abläufe und Prozesse
Your Skills
  • Du hast Erfahrung in der Entwicklung von Kunststoffverpackungen, idealerweise flexiblen Verpackungen in der Verpackungs- oder Konsumgüterindustrie
  • Du hast Erfahrung im digitalen und Flexodruck
  • Du arbeitest organisiert und verfügst über Kenntnisse im Projektmanagement
  • Sehr gute Englischkenntnisse sind ein Muss (C1), Deutschkenntnisse sind von Vorteil (B2 und höher)
  • Du bist ein motivierter Teamplayer mit einem hohen Maß an Eigenständigkeit
